designed objects with cork 2018

“Designed objects with cork” is an installation piece consisting of seven objects made of joined wheel thrown sections. The objects have no specific purpose, even though they strongly refer to a functional container plugged with cork stoppers. It aims to refresh our perception and emphasizes the triangle: form - function - aesthetics. The ambiguous shapes inherit a specific tension that wheel thrown pots have. The interplay and contrasts of the materials remind of some kind of neat designed products. In this way, ''Designed objects with cork'' pays a tribute to both crafts and design practices.
